I am Professor of Scripture and Theology at the Augustine Institute Graduate School of Theology (Florissant, MO). I am the author of numerous scholarly articles and books, including, THE HISTORICAL JESUS AND THE TEMPLE: MEMORY, METHODOLOGY, AND THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2023) and THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS: THE BIRTH OF JESUS AN THE ORIGINS OF THE SEASON (Greenwood Village, CO: Augustine Institute, 2021). I participate regularly in academic societies (e.g., Society of Biblical Literature, Catholic Biblical Association). I also speak at parishes and Catholic events nationwide, giving talks on the Bible and Catholic Theology. I live in Florissant, MO, with my wife Kimberly and our six children.
