Michael P. Barber

I am Professor of Scripture and Theology at the Augustine Institute Graduate School of Theology (Greenwood Village, CO). I am the author of numerous scholarly articles and book reviews for academic journals as well as a number of books. My latest project is THE HISTORICAL JESUS AND THE TEMPLE: MEMORY, METHODOLOGY, AND THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, forthcoming) and THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS: THE BIRTH OF JESUS AND THE ORIGINS OF THE SEASON (Greenwood Village: Augustine Institute, 2021). I participate regularly in academic societies (e.g., Society of Biblical Literature, Catholic Biblical Association). I also speak at parishes and Catholic events nationwide, giving talks on the Bible and Theology. I live in Aurora, CO, with my wife Kimberly and our six children.
